About Us

Advancing Opportunities provides services, supports, education and advocacy to individuals with disabilities and their families to help them lead full lives.
We deliver our services in the community. A long-time proponent of inclusion, Avancing Opportunities:

• works with school districts and teachers to help make classrooms and curricula accessible to students of all abilities
• works with employers to help make it possible for men and women with disabilities to earn a living
• provides a wide variety of family support services, including recreational programs and respite care and
• provides residential services that allow people with disabilities to live where they choose.

For 60 years, the agency has worked to advance the independence of children and adults with disabilities. Until recently, the agency was known as Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey. Our new name, Advancing Opportunities, reflects the fact that we provide services to people with all types of disabilities.
