Information and Referral Specialist - Full time

Qualifications: BA degree in human services, sociology, political science, or related field preferred. One year paid or three years volunteer experience in serving people with physical or developmental disabilities required. Candidates with the equivalent of two years of full-time college credits will be considered if they have at least three years paid or five years volunteer experience serving people with physical or developmental disabilities.

Duties: Provides information and makes referrals for individuals contacting agency requesting services or information. Maintains disability related information and resource files with current and updated materials. Represents the agency at conferences, provider fairs and trade shows.

Required Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent judgment and problem solving skills. Good manager of time and resources. Must be organized and have the ability to follow through on projects and assignments. Ability to work independently and unsupervised is a must, as is knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant computer software.
