Agency Honors Mount Olive Officer
With Civic Leadership Award

Officer Kalafut holding gifts in christmas wrapJoin Advancing Opportunities as the agency honors Officer Jeff Kalafut of the Mount Olive Police Department with the Civic Leadership Award during the Community Recognition Breakfast on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Frelinghuysen Aboretum in Whippany at 9 a.m.

Since 1995 the Mount Olive Police Department has provided gifts for Advancing Opportunties' annual holiday party. For the past 12 years Officer Kalafut has served coordinated his department's participation. Each November he contacts the agency and finds out what the kids are asking St. Nick to bring. He takes this list back to his department and then he and his fellow officers fill all of the orders and deliver a mountain of wrapped gifts the day of the party.
